Did your baby recognise noises when they were newborn?

Like your little one, the hairdryer and hoover sent her to sleep. Guaranteed if she was fighting sleep, they would work everytime. She was terrified of barking dogs (we dont have dogs) and the doorbell (we only got it at 39wks)
