Was anyone else disappointed with how much the Lightning Thief movie was changed from the book?

The was no quest/Oracle and the plotline completely changed. There was no Clarisse and an Ares fight or the St. Louis Gate Bridge, and there wasn't any mention at all of the Big Three being forbidden to have children or the prophecy. If they are going to make the sequels into a movie, I feel like now they will have to be very different as well.
