How do I splice a four-wire UK electrical line into a 2-wire US line?
Brought a skype phone home...and found a surprise--it's wired for UK style/voltage. Need to change the adaptor/trans. that came with. Brit. line takes a 230v current and reduces to 9v DC. Have a US adaptor that takes a 110v and reduces to 9v DC. However, Brit wire is four wire (9v/150mA and 9v/300mA)...and US wire is two wire (9v/210mA). Question is, which two brit wires do I combine to form one line? The two labeled "9V" or the two labeled "mA" ...or do I combine 9V and mA wire sets...or what? Funky as it is, the electrical connector to the base is a phone jack type thingy that must be used.
