What are the chances for an airplane to crash?

When i went on my first and only plane ride it was fun. the Flight was only 4 hours from Mexico city to Oakland. The only thing that scared me was the lift off, other than that it was pretty fun, except when the plane was shake. i just want to know what are the chances of it crashing or something going wrong.
